Mojo Monday 80
This card is for the MojoMonday challenge. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible so instead of brads, I added crystal effects to small dots of marker on the left side. The flower design was watercolored although this is not one of my favorite techniques. I figure with more practice I'll enjoy it more. The words on the lower right are a rub-on. I am loving these as I don't have to align my word stamps exactly. With the rub-ons you can see immediately where they will appear.
A very simple card

Tea bag for a friend
I have been having so much fun with my stamps and accessories lately. I didn't realize how much I missed them until now.
This card is really a little envelope that holds a tea bag. It was simple to cut out and I just stamped 2 different designs all over the paper. After I layered the corner designs I added a spot of crystal effects to the centers. This just really gives it a little bling without any effort. I just didn't have a brad that matched the colors, and the crystal effects adds that 3-d touch, too.
Now I just have to find my friend and we can have a cup of tea together.

Gray and white...
Normally, I wouldn't think of just keeping a card to these 2 colors. But with the designer paper, a strip of 1/4" ribbon, a couple of punches and a tiny stamp, it came together. The words at the bottom of the card are done with rub-ons. They are so handy if you don't want to use stamps, or don't have the space for them.
This card would be great for anyone, male or female.

Spring Flowers
As it continues to snow here in Alaska I have to continually find things to do that are fun indoors. You can only shovel snow and take the dogs for a walk so often. These flowers are a copy of some others I saw recently. But they are so cute, I was sure everyone would enjoy them as I do.
They were easily made with my Big Shot die cutter and adding a little tape, stuck them together over some small dowels. I put some shredded paper (great recycling) in a little espresso cup and here they are.
I hope they brighten your day as well.

My mind wanders...
Here's another Mojo Monday card. This one comes from the same set as the last card. The sentiments are so appropriate at times.
The colors are done with pastels and instead of a bow, I added a little rhinestone brad for pizzaz. I even used strips of designer papers instead of ribbon.
You can see other samples from the same template at: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/03/mojo-monday-week-79.html.

Too young to be this old...
This card was designed from a template by MojoMonday.blogspot.com. This is the first time I have participated in the challenge. Be sure and go visit the site for more ideas for your own stamping.
I had been wanting to use this new stamp set since it was introduced in the new supplement. And with the designer papers that Stampin'Up! has, it made such a great birthday card.

Lots of matchboxes
I have fallen in love with my matchbox die. I can cut the design quickly on my Big Shot Die Cutter and the fold lines are already there! In the last week I have made almost 50 of these little boxes for 2 different events. With just a little bit of ribbon and cardstock I can add a small greeting on top and it's ready to go.
My guest stamper
Today I have a Guest Stamper...Yvonne. I just love this card she designed. Using designer paper, punches and ribbon, it can be used for numerous occasions. It's difficult to see, but I think there is a small "bling" added to the center of the star. Those little brad and stick-ons really make a card stand out.

Wish Big
I thought in honor of St. Patrick's Day, the Wish Big ideas works well with any leprechauns in the area.
Using just one stamp (from the Short & Sweet set) I combined the Urban Oasis designer paper with some ribbon to make this really simple card. The words are layered with white on black cardstock using 2 oval punches.

My Dear Friend
Todays card was designed after I saw a similar design in a magazine. They card is a square and makes it easier to measure the squares. I simply cut the small small squares of colored paper and backed with slightly larger black. This one is done using the SU! Designer paper from Sale-a-Bration promotion but any SU! designer paper would work though since the sets coordinate together. The stamp is from the All Holidays Set.

Easy Luggage Tag
This was such an easy project. I have to admit that I saw a similar one by another stamper, but don't remember where. All I did was adhere some designer paper to both sides of some chipboard. (Saving that cardboard from packages has become my hobby.) After the glue dried, I ran it through my Big Shot Die Cutter with the Scallop cutouts. Then I cut out the letter "R" using cardstock with the die machine and glued it to the larger scallop. This machine is great! After punching a hole and adding eyelets, I attached the ring. I'll just add an address label to the back and I can easily identify my luggage.

Baby Girl and Baby Boy
Don't you just love baby gifts! I designed this little photo holder for a girl or boy and they look so different. They are made out of simple coasters that have been covered with designer paper. There are little additional touches for bling and the 2 sides are held together with ribbon. I can't wait for someone to have a baby now!
A Beautiful Spring Card!
For my first post I wanted to share this beautiful spring card. The colors are such that they remind me that warmer weather is coming soon. It uses all Stampin'Up! supplies: designer papers, stamps and ribbon, the scallop and circle punches, small brads for the flower centers, and the scallop border punch. Isn't it beautiful. I have to give credit to Gail for designing it during our stamping weekend.
