Both these cards were created using a different technique to make the swirly backgrounds. You actually swirl drops of ink into a blob of shaving cream. It is similar to the method for marbleizing paper. Email me and I'll give you the instructions if you're interested. It's really easy and quick.
The cards actually front opening from underneath the strips on the front. The opening is covered by the bottom of the scallop. The primary color used in these cards is Pacific Point.
